What We Believe

1.There is only one who is God. He is our Father and the Creator of us all. He is almighty, eternal, and sovereign of the universe (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 4:35; Isaiah 44:6-8,24Ephesians 4:6; 1 Corinthians 8:6)
2. Jesus is the Christ. Existing from his mother’s womb, he is the virgin born son of God (John 3:16; Luke 1:34-35, Galatians 4:4). He was anointed with Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17), died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:13), was buried and rose the third day (1 Corinthians 15:20), ascended into heaven (Luke 24:51) and is coming again (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
3. The spirit of God is the spirit of the Father himself (Matthew 10:20). It is the Father’s own power and presence. By a miracle of his spirit, God is the Father of Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:18, 20; Luke 1:35). God also anointed Jesus with his spirit and power for ministry (Acts 10:38). He was filled with the spirit of God, and it empowered him to do all that he did (Luke 4:1,18-20). By that same spirit, God now works in the lives of believers (Ephesians 1:13; 2:22; 3:16).
4. The Bible is God’s Inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16), which serves as guide for living (2 Timothy 3:17)
5. Human beings are entirely mortal – subject to death (Romans 6:23).
There is no consciousness in death (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) and immortality is received as a gift at the coming of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:51-54)
6. Salvation is by the grace of God, through the atoning blood of Christ, consisting of God’s forgiveness of sin, the imparting of His Spirit to the believer and finally the gift of immortality at the resurrection when Christ returns. The steps in the gospel plan of salvation are:
Belief of the gospel of the Kingdom and the things concerning Jesus Christ (Romans 10:17; Hebrews 11:6).
Sincere repentance for sin, which may be evidenced by confession and restitution (Acts 3:19).
Baptism, which is immersion, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Romans 6:4; Acts 2:38; Colossians 2:12).
Growth in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4-11)
7. The KINGDOM OF GOD will be established when Jesus comes as King (Revelation 19:16), on earth (Luke 1:31-33) and forever (Daniel 2:44). Children of God are joint-heirs (Romans 8:17), who shall rule (Revelation 5:9-10) on a restored earth (Acts 3:20-21). Israel shall be restored (Romans 11:26) and all the wicked shall be destroyed in the second death (Revelation 21:8)
